Algorand and SkyBridge Capital, founded by Anthony Scaramucci, raised $100 million for its new Algorand fund, according to the announcement made by CoinDesk. A target of 250 million dollars was set as the upper limit.
SkyBridge has approximately $700 million worth of cryptocurrency. The announcement was made today at the SALT hedge fund conference in New York. In the fund application filed by First Trust Advisors, SkyBridge Capital will serve as the investment sub-adviser of the fund. Scaramucci said;
“SkyBridge currently has approximately $700 million worth of cryptocurrency. “We are launching an Algorand fund… We are capping this fund at $250 million, we have already raised $100 million for this fund.”
