Cryptocurrency analyst and trader Michaël van de Poppe thinks that the correction in the altcoin market may end within a few weeks of 2025.
Van de Poppe states that the TOTAL3 chart may soon switch to an upward trend on its weekly charts. TOTAL3, Bitcoin $97,678.3Ethereum $3,588.6 and tracks the market value of all crypto assets except stablecoins.
Ethereum and Other Altcoins
The analyst states that Ethereum has started to show bullish signals against Bitcoin (ETH/BTC). He also notes that other altcoins, such as the scaling solution Optimism (OP), are seeing accumulation by investors due to increased trading volume.
“When you look at the altcoin market and examine TOTAL3, we see a high probability that the market correction is nearing its end. “We may experience a correction for another week or two in early January, then we may start to rise again.” – Michaël van de Poppe
Van de Poppe stated that OP/BTC increased by 5.83% to 0.00002051 BTC in the last 24 hours, and ETH/BTC increased by 3.23% to 0.03675 BTC.
“Ethereum’s upward move against Bitcoin and increased interest in altcoins like Optimism suggest that the Ethereum ecosystem is still significantly undervalued.” – Michaël van de Poppe
The analyst emphasizes that the Ethereum ecosystem is in the process of consolidation or a minor correction, which still leaves a significant gap in the value of the ETH ecosystem.
Investor Interest and Market Expectations
Van de Poppe states that the end of the general correction in the markets is near and investor interest is increasing. He states that it is necessary to closely follow the market movements of assets other than Bitcoin and Ethereum.
It is predicted that if the expected correction in the altcoin market ends, investors may re-enter the market and prices may move upwards.
