Ethereum $1,903.08 Developers announced that a new test network has been put into operation after the test problems experienced within the scope of the upcoming Pectra upgrade. The main developers of the network are planning to make one final experiment in the test network called Hooli to overcome the problems in previous test networks.
Test Network Holay and Process
The newly created Hooli test network will be run with the new version of the Pectra update on March 26 and will be evaluated in terms of performance and stability. Developers foresee to implement upgrade within about 30 days after the completion of the test process.
Pectra upgrade includes various code changes to make Ethereum network faster, efficient and user -friendly. With this update, it is aimed to equip user wallets with new functions by adding smart contract features to the addresses. Problems in Previous Test Networks
The Hooli test network was created after configuration errors and disruptions on Sepolia and Holesky. Long -term interruptions in the Houlesky network prevented the proper execution of Pectra tests. Developers, each test network serves different purposes, stating that Validator output tests drew attention to Hooli.
Tim Beiko, the representative of the Ethereum Foundation coordinating developers, “Hooli test network, pectra test process to complete the process,” he emphasized the importance of the process.
The new test process represents the critical stages in the main network integration process of Pectra upgrade. Following successful tests, Ethereum users are expected to raise their upgrade in late April or early May.
The update is seen as an important step on Ethereum’s technical roadmap and aims to increase the competitiveness of the network. Difficulties such as decline in ETH prices, leadership changes in the foundation and increasing competition with new blockchains increase the need for Pectra.
