Catizen (CATI), an artificial intelligence-based, cat-themed gaming altcoin, has reached a new record high after being listed by Binance, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges.
Surprise Catizen (CATI) Listing from Binance
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced on September 20 that Catizen (CATI) will be added to its product line.
“Binance is excited to announce the addition of Catizen to Binance Simple Earn, ‘Buy Crypto’, Binance Convert, Binance Margin, and Binance Auto-Invest.”
Catizen: Become the Mayor of Cat City
Catizen is a blockchain game based on The Open Network (TON) that was launched in March. Players take on the role of a town mayor, managing a virtual cat city and earning rewards.
TON is a layer-1 blockchain network originally operated by popular messaging app Telegram but now maintained by an independent developer network.
Contribution of Telegram and Other Games
According to crypto exchange KuCoin, Catizen has over 34 million users, 3.5 million daily active users, and an average revenue of $33 per share (ARPPU) among 800,000 paid players.
“With nearly 1 billion users interacting with Telegram bots and mini-apps on a monthly basis, Catizen benefits from Telegram’s large user base and features that support secure, decentralized transactions.
Additionally, the explosion of other Telegram games like Notcoin, TapSwap, and Hamster Kombat helped increase interest in Catizen.”
KuCoin attributes the game’s popularity to Telegram’s high user base and the popularity of other blockchain-based games like Notcoin (NOT).
News of the listing sent CATI’s value soaring, with the digital asset trading at $0.988 at the time of writing and up 9.5% over the past 24 hours. The gaming altcoin reached a new all-time high of $1.11 earlier today.
Catizen’s listing on Binance shows how fast the crypto gaming ecosystem is growing and how users can monetize their gaming experience. The support of major exchanges for such projects encourages innovation in the industry and creates new opportunities for investors and gamers.
