The biggest ongoing upgrade to support developers is Avalanche9000 and the Retro9000 grant support program has been announced in this context. $40 million in grants will flow to developers. The Retro9000 incentivized testnet program encourages developers to launch an L1 ecosystem and get the earliest and most interesting developers to build their products.
Retro9000 will reward developers who focus on developer tools on the Avalanche9000 testnet. Applications and projects will be ranked by community votes. Ava Labs Developer Relations Director Martin Eckardt said;
“L1 validators now require large amounts for entry. AVAX “It will give thousands of projects access to a private, interoperable blockchain built on a rigorously tested technology stack at low cost.”
Following the announcement, the AVAX price rose to the $29 mark.
